How To Use Your Camera In Person Course
Our most popular in person beginner's course for teaching 'How to use your camera and the basic principles of Photography.'
Learn to master your camera settings and gain full creative control with tailored, concise and memorable lessons.
1-2-1's are held at my studio in Honiton, East Devon, however I can also come to you.
Learning the technical side of photography is like learning to drive, it takes a lot of practice for using your camera out of auto to come naturally.
The way I teach gives you a clear explanation of how the camera works and is backed up with practical tasks, in-depth worksheets designed for all learning types, homework tasks and an invitation to join my free membership for continued learning and support. The membership boasts LOADS of free resources and a free tier and allows me to better support you by uploading your personalised worksheets and information. The membership has all my frequently asked questions uploaded to it and allows learners some self guided study. You can explore our competitions and group projects, watch interviews and our edit with me session. Binge through the resource pool of handy infographics of need to know information and you can take our online course in photo editing too.
Within this session we will use your camera's semi automatic and manual modes to take photos with sharp backgrounds, blurred backgrounds, to get fun light trail photos, to show movement and to get crisp, 'frozen' photos of moving subjects.
We will also cover the following points which are so important for creative control when practising in Photography:
The session duration is 3 hours and costs £139 if you come to the studio.
Home visits are £169, additional fuel costs may be incurred if outside of Honiton. Please email me directly to book a home visit.

This session will teach you how to confidently use your camera.
You will learn to take photos that will amaze your friends and leave them asking 'how did you do that?'
You can bring any camera with a mode dial or mode selection abilities, the dial will have 'Tv, Av, M' for Canon cameras and 'S', 'A' and 'M' For Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Sony cameras etc.
Following on from this session you can learn more specifically about other genres of photography or about developing a Photography business.
We hold photo walks where you can practice what we learn, meet Gem (our tutor) and socialise with other Photographers from our Facebook training group. We also hold free weekly live webinars, competitions, share our work and take part in Photography projects.
