How to Take Light Trail Photographs - Night Photography Workshop

This workshop is designed to get you playing with your shutter speeds in manual mode to create abstract photographs using available light sources around the city. We will also learn how take photographs using a tripod to capture vehicle headlights moving in an otherwise still scene.

You need to bring your camera, a tripod and a warm coat. Please, make sure your battery is fully charged too.

There are 10 available spaces on this workshop, it's £35 per person and runs for 2 hours

Selling Your Photographic Work

​There are many areas of Photography and not all methods of selling will suit your genre. It is therefore important to establish who your target audience is, how you can reach them and how you can best serve them with your product and service. Pricing is a very important factor when it comes to selling your work so we will be looking at this on the your session too.

Throughout this workshop we will look at:

  • Pricing
  • Selling Online and In Person
  • Products and Samples
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Approaching Galleries and Potential Outlets
  • Selling techniques
  • Presenting Yourself and your Work
  • The Power of Viewing Sessions
  • Exciting your customers and planting the seed 

This is a 3 hour 1-2-1 session and a 4 hour group session. You will need to bring a notepad and pen and some examples of your work either in a digital format or print. 

​​1-2-1 Sessions can be held at your home (travel expenses may be incurred) or at my space in honiton, we just need a quiet space to work in.

Studio Lighting Techniques Workshop Part 2

This is the follow on course from the Introduction to Studio Lighting Workshop, we look at some more complicated lighting set-ups for portrait photography. You are encouraged to get everything right in camera allowing you minimal editing time in post production. The session is heavily practical based with worksheets to support your learning. You are encouraged to take notes and reference photos throughout the session.

  • Learn the Clam Shell Set Up
  • Learn about Separation of Light
  • How to Create Interesting Catch Lights
  • How to use a Light Meter
  • Live Shoot with a Model
  • Shooting Objectively
  • Using a Hair Light
  • Using Different Modifiers
  • Worksheets
  • 4 Hours
  • Studio Based

This session is taught as a one to one session (3 hours) but can be modified for a group session (4 hours) if you have friends who would like to attend also. The session fee covers all pre-planning, worksheets, the session itself and any communications before and after the session.
